CONED AND THREADED CONNECTION
High-pressure Tubing - Normally high-strength stainless steel.
Tube Cone - 59 degree cone angle.
Tubing Thread - Left hand thread to mate with the collar during assembly.
Body - The female receptacle for the tubing. Examples are valve bodies, elbows, and tees.
Body Cone - 60 degree cone angle.
Body Thread - Right hand thread.
Collet - Provides the appropriate spacing between the collar and the gland nut and carries bending loads to prevent strain on the threads.
Collar - Left-handed threads. The collar screws onto the end of the tubing and carries the load that forces the sealing points together.
Weep Hole - A designed weep point provided for safety purposes that allows fluid to escape in case fitting pressure exceeds what the coned sealing point can tolerate.
